My first major solo show is on this week in Sydney. Vibrant Matter features a series of monochromatic voids that are periodically articulated by surging subsonic frequencies from hidden subwoofer speakers. The title references the vital materialism of theorist Jane Bennett and the idea that objects might have a 'quasi agency' in the world. You can visit Dominik Mersch Gallery in Rushcutters Bay from Wednesday to Saturday, 11am-6pm. Plus the works are for sale, either in hard cold cash/credit card or via Art Money, a kind of City of Sydney sponsored lay-by system.
